Frederick Vaiana received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, in 1984. He went on to receive his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in 1992, graduating With Honors. Vaiana joined Voyles Zahn Paul Hogan & Merriman immediately upon graduating from law school and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in both Indiana and Illinois.

Recognized among the 2007, 2008, and 2009 Indiana SuperLawyers by Indianapolis Monthly and Law and Politics magazines, Vaiana focuses his practice on criminal defense. He represents those accused both in state and federal courts, from major felony crimes to misdemeanors. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, having successfully completed seminars conducted at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for three consecutive summer sessions. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys as well as an active member of the Indianapolis Bar Association. He authors monthly columns for The Indiana Lawyer newspaper and is past faculty of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, the National Business Institute, and the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Annual Bench and Bar conference CLE programs. He has appeared as a guest on WTLC radio’s Legally Speaking. He also belongs to the Indiana State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.

When asked by his four year-old child several years ago what he did at work, Vaiana told her he “helps people with their problems.” He recognizes being accused of any crime is a serious matter and strives to structure results best-suited for each individual client. Feel free to e-mail him with personal inquiries.
